HUMMINGBIRDS
You may have a child who cannot settle for long periods – like the hummingbird they flit about using up a lot of energy. But even such a child has to recharge their battery. The Hummingbird programme is designed for your child to dip in and out of. Each pack is made up of different tasks. Your child can complete a task in small sittings of 15-30 minutes. They can do as many short tasks or as little as they like.The Hummingbird packs are also useful for a child who is already working at their own optimum level but find there are particular areas of needs in Maths, English and Black history they need help with. For example your child can spell but they tend to make the follow mistakes: cheat becomes cheet, Seat becomes sit, Light become lite.They may need help with phonics or visual memory strategy for spelling to make sure they are secure and confident in the concepts needed. They may be strong in fractions but weak in mental maths therefore these packs will help to fill gaps.All RISE programmes require supervision by parents.
